Hello, my name is Allie Sheedy.

I am a graduate of Stevenson University with a BS in Film and Moving Image. During my collegiate and post-grad years, I have used my leadership skills, organization skills, and research skills to create content for Black and Decker, a Fortune 500 company, a successful independent short film, work for an Emmy-winning film studio, and as an efficient independent contractor. I have a plethora of experience working as a producer and editor.

 

Past Work Experience

  • I apply my industry knowledge, communication skills, and attention to detail to test, launch, and finalize streams for ESPN's domestic and international live sports events. I manage event-specific ad breaks, collaborate with Associate Directors for seamless stream execution, and actively monitor and address any live feed or audience-related issues.

  • I edited a compelling virtual talk presentation for the nonprofit Pyrexa Global in collaboration with MasterCard for the Points of Light conference, effectively integrating multimedia elements and ensuring seamless transitions for an engaging audience experience.

  • I organize, film, animate and edit videos on tight schedules. They are featured on the brand’s certified social media and Amazon platforms and have increased profits by 13% for over forty products. I use my critical thinking skills to create content for both internal and external audiences using brand standards within the company.

  • As lead editor for the show, I would take pre-existing footage and create episodes, trailers, and graphics that would be uploaded to Nic of Time Media website where it would be realized for consump[on.

  • Assisted experienced film professionals on a union-run set in the produc[on of Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back by organizing equipment, and setting up and breaking down the base camp.

  • Lead producer and editor that handled contracts, equipment rentals, and interviewed several different subjects to create a promo[onal video for a nonprofit organization.

  • Conducted interviews and filmed b-roll and edited to create a product to advertise the organization’s involvement in the Baltimore Maryland Marathon.

  • Edited videos, documents, obtained licenses for images, created and organized social media content, and assisted on Maryland Farm and Harvest; Season 6, and Ways to Pay for College 2018.

  • Lead producer and editor. I handled contracts, equipment rentals, and interviewed several different subjects, ranging from Teachers to students, to create a promotional video To highlight the school’s assets.

  • This class explored the history of film editing along with the fundamentals of editing using Final Cut and Premiere.

  • Introduced me to the fundamentals of camera techniques and how digital camera’s worked.

  • We went threw the history of documentaries along with working with real clients over the course of the class.

  • This class when over the technical fundamentals of photography and Lightroom and Lightroom Classic.

  • Went over step by step how to apply for a grant. Starting from research to sending in the application.

  • Explored the history of broadcast and simulated the different aspects of a 3-camera live news broadcast.

  • Dove in-depth on the First Amendment and how Copywrite works for creative works. Alongside learning about the history of film distribution and the legal steps to take when entering the distribution stage of film making.

  • I got the opportunity to interview professionals in the industry alongside learning about how the best steps to take when releasing films onto the festival circuit.
